During the project, design studies were undertaken and consultancy services were
provided. A key feature of the complex is a network of artificial canals supplied with
seawater. Certain villas were designed around a “yalı” concept, with their basement levels converted into boat garages, providing direct waterfront access to the residences During the design process, two-dimensional numerical hydrodynamic and water quality modeling was performed to identify areas prone to stagnation and to optimise the circulation system, thereby ensuring sustainable water quality. The scope also included the design of the seawater intake pumping station and pipeline network, the planning and design of reinforced concrete and timber structures forming the canal foundations, and the design of an automated gate system to regulate canal water levels and enable periodic drainage.
